The iPhone version of the Facebook Lite application, offered for those who have older smartphones or without high-speed internet access, has been deactivated in Brazil.
Facebook Lite was launched in 2018 in Turkey, and then reached other regions. Users in Brazil received a message announcing that application support has ended. They were urged to download the normal Facebook application, MacRumors reports.

A Facebook spokesman confirmed for MacMagazine that the application has disappeared from the App Store, the Brazilian version. Messenger Lite still exists.
Facebook Lite for iOS has only 12 MB. By comparison, the full Facebook application has 452 MB.
Facebook has over 141 million users in Brazil, according to NapoleonCat. This is the largest market in Latin America for the social network.
