Launched in April this year, the top of the range OnePlus 8 will receive an improved version, the new OnePlus 8T model having a launch date set exactly six months away.
Confirmed on the Amazon India website, the launch of OnePlus 8T on October 14th could be a global one, the new smartphone soon reaching European stores. Apparently, the source of the information is the OnePlus manufacturer itself, taking the form of a set of rules and conditions for a future contest with OnePlus 8T phones as a prize.

According to the preliminary list of specifications, partially confirmed in the details of the above mentioned regulation, OnePlus 8T comes equipped with a 6.55 inch AMOLED screen, capable of using a refresh rate at 120Hz, compared to 90Hz on the original OnePlus 8. Another feature apparently borrowed from for the Pro model it is the quad-camera system. It uses a 48MP main camera with optical stabilization, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP camera with macro lens and 2MP sensor for applying depth effects. The front camera is a model with 32MP resolution, double the current model.
The phone comes directly with Android version 11, in the interpretation of OxygenOS 11.
Depending on the budget, buyers will have a choice between a configuration with 8GB / 128GB memory and 12GB / 256 memory. The phone comes with a 4500 mAh battery and Warp Chargind charging function, allowing the delivery of a power of up to 65W via the USB-C cable.
Already published in the Geekbench catalog, the phone obtains a single-core score of 912 points, respectively 3288 points in the multi-core test, which positions it at a level of performance with a few percent compared to the current model.
