Motorola seems to give up the annual launch schedule for the Moto G series and move to a half-yearly one. Less than half a year after the official presentation of the Motorola Moto G8, the American brand officially announces the new Moto G9, a mid-range smartphone. It debuts in India, at a very low price, but will certainly be presented in the near future and in the rest of the world, this series being successful worldwide.
Moto G9 targets the market segment of budget phones
The Moto G series has always been equipped with medium hardware, but not from the lower range. There were various models of the series with budget configurations, but this time, the basic model is the starting one, it seems. Thus, Motorola has integrated on the Moto G a Snapdragon 662 chipset with 11nm architecture, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and a 6.5 ”screen with a notch in the form of a water drop in 20: 9 format and HD + resolution .
The phone has a plastic construction, characteristic of Motorola’s budget models, with a water-repellent treatment. However, this does not make it resistant to water, but only to splashes or accidents. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the back, under the three-camera module. It is a camera with 48 megapixel main sensor, a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor.
Like other Motorola devices in recent times, this model, Moto G9, also benefits from a Google Assistant button. Of course, the phone runs Android 10, in a slightly modified version, Motorola being one of the few device manufacturers that does not apply a proprietary interface over the Google operating system.
