Fix the Adobe Flash Player Download Issue by Changing the Download Location

After the next two years Adobe Flash Player will be gone and we will probably forget everything about it. Nevertheless, back in the days the plug-in was vital, and it continues to be necessary for many browsers even today. Therefore, you need it installed on your computer. However, there was a certain issue that prevented users from downloading it.

Flash Player cannot be download

Windows users have complained about a certain Adobe Flash Player problem. According to them, they were not able to install the program. Because of this, they were not able to play videos in the Google Chrome browser. One user has reported that whenever he tried to download Flash player, a new windows opens under the file, saying “Failed insufficient permissions”. This happened despite the fact that he was logged in on the administrator account of his PC, and he was supposed to have permission for any action.

How to solve this problem?

If you have this problem as well, it appears that the solution is very simple. First you will need to take a look at the download location for Google Chrome. Usually it is a system folder, a non-standard folder that had been specified by you. If the Flash issue occurs, it means that there is a problem with that folder.

In order to fix that, you will need to change the download location. It is recommended to choose the download folder or your desktop. If you want to find the files easily, your desktop might be the best option.

In order to change the download location open Chrome and tap the three dots in the right corner. Select Settings and scroll down until you find Advanced. Click on it and open it, select Downloads and then click Change. There you will be able to change the location.
