Supercell, the finish mobile game development company is generating tons of cash with successful games such as Clash of Clans or Clash Royale. The Chinese investment company Tencent Holdings Limited owns most of Supercell’s stocks.

The company does not believe in spending tons of money and making huge investments in expanding their headquarters and staff. With only 240 employees, Supercell has organized its workers in small teams called “cells”. These cells usually consist of five to ten people.
One of Supercell’s founders, Mikko Kodisoja, has declared during a gaming event (Gamelab) in Barcelona that the company is willing to invest and also purchase other mobile game development companies. However, the companies should do different types of games but operate in similar ways as the finish company.

In 2016, the company has reached a profit of 2.3 billion $ in revenue from games such as Hay Day, Boom Beach, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. The popularity of the games and the profits they brought to the company is one reason why the Chinese company Tencent acquired most of the shares for a total of 10.2 billion $.
The company is searching to purchase and invest in other game development companies which offer long time enduring games. The kind of games which are never forgotten and which trigger nostalgia for passionate players.
