Samsung Galaxy J7 Max vs. OnePlus 5 – Which One To Choose?
The Samsung Galaxy J7 and OnePlus 5 are two smartphones that have been released last month. Today we will compare them, allowing you to make a choice between these two handsets.
Designs
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max measures 156.7×78.8×8.1mm and weighs 179 grams. It doesn’t have a premium design, but at least its body is made of metal and the antenna lines are barely visible. The phone is available in two variants of colors: Gold and Black. On the other hand, the OnePlus 5 is slimmer and lighter, as it measures 154.2×74.1×7.3mm and weighs 153 grams. Metal was also on OnePlus’ list, but because the phone has antenna lines very close to the top and bottom edge, it looks a lot like the iPhone 7 Plus. Also, you can order the phone online and the two color options are Midnight Black, and Slate Gray.
Displays
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a 5.7-inch PLS display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 386 ppi. The OnePlus 5 has a smaller 5.5-inch optic AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max features a Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 2.4GHz, a Mali-T880MP2 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The OnePlus 5 has a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset, a quad-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.9GHz and a quad-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.45GHz, an Adreno 540 graphics card and 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
Storages
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has been released with an internal storage of 32GB, which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The OnePlus 5 has been released in two internal storage variants of 64GB and 128GB, but it doesn’t have a memory card slot for storage expansion.
Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, geo-tagging, autofocus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 13MP. The OnePlus 5 has a dual-primary camera of 16MP+20MP that features dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, phase detection autofocus, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 16MP.
Batteries
Both handsets are powered by a non-removable battery of 3300 mAh.
