0

Motorola published a list of phones which would get an operating system upgrade and there was no mention of a Moto G4 Plus, despite promises given to owners the device will receive both Nougat and Oreo updates. Suffice to say G4 Plus owners were pretty upset, however, despite not having made the list; it seems that the device will get Android Oreo after all.

Motorola has made the news official

The Chicago-based company has shared the news on its blog. The statement explained that there were some marketing errors involved. The flyers in which Android Oreo was promised for Moto G4 Plus smartphone were wrong. Motorola explained that the company gets only one major OS upgrade per device. However, since the flyers were already spread, the company felt it was important to keep their word and the G4 Plus will receive the OS update.

This is great news for G4 Plus owners and even if they will have to wait, they will still get Android Oreo on their device.
