If you area an Infinix Note 5 user or a Note 5 Stylus one, it means that since the beginning of this new year, in January 2019, you have started testing the beta version of the Android 9 Pie. However, you no longer have access to that. Indian reports suggest that the stable Pie update is now replacing the beta one.

How is it like?

The company said that a redesigned UI is what the update tags along including the latest Android security patch, an adaptive battery, new gestures for navigation, improved notification management, and that is not all.

Some new interesting features

Even though Infinix is Android One devices, some interesting privacy features were thrown in despite not being mentioned, Screen Pinning and Guest mode. The former allows you to lock the device to the currently open screen while the latter is similar to Xiaomi’s Second space which gives you the possibility to add multiple users accounts to the device, each of them being in no relationship with the other.

How do they help you?

Making separate accounts for the people who want to use your device assures you that your privacy will not be invaded. For example, you might have an Infinix Note 5 Stylus, and your siblings want to get all over it. You can make them individual accounts and this way they will never stick their noses in your stuff. However, if you are even a nicer brother or sister, you can always get them the Infinix Smart 2 Pro from Infinix Mall because apart from the fact that it is now cheaper, it also got an update to Pie not too much time ago.

If someone wants to use your phone, but you do not trust them not digging into your stuff, and you can’t refuse, the Guest Mode is exactly what you need.
