Pre-order record for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in U.S. and South Korea

0

When the Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled last year, the pre-orders of this device went crazy. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the issues with the battery exploding to appear all over the internet. This is when many people have decided to just turn the device back to the store and ask their money back.

Well, despite all the issues that the company had with the Galaxy Note 7, it seems that the pre-orders are going pretty well for the new Galaxy Note 8. In fact, the pre-orders for the new handset are “destroying” the pre-order records set by previous Galaxy Note devices.

According to reports, after just 24 hours, there were over 395,000 reservations for the Galaxy Note 8 in South Korea. We remind you that last year it took almost 2 weeks for the Galaxy Note 7 to even hit the 380,000 mark for pre-orders.

Even if the price tag of the Galaxy Note 8 is $960, it seems that there are many users who believe that this handset is worth it. Samsung has also mentioned that the Galaxy Note 8 has managed to set a record for the number of pre-orders received in the U.S. by a Note phablet. The pre-order period has run for two weeks and the device will finally hit the stores on September 15, 2017.
