How To Enable Cookies and Javascript on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome

Most people don’t know, but cookies are used by websites to store information, which allow them to help users navigate these websites. Cookies will also personalize a website user’s experience, as it stores information regarding the user’s activity on a particular site and stores information for when they will visit it again.

On the other hand, JavaSript is a web programming language that’s used for improving the user interface by allowing some web developers to make the web pages more interactive.

Today we will teach you how to enable Cookies and Javascript on your browser. So, if you are using Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, you’re lucky.

How To Enable Cookies And Javascript On Internet Explorer

  • Open the Internet Explorer, click on the “Tools” tab and select “Internet Options”;
  • Look for the “Privacy Tab” and make sure that the Settings section is set to accept cookies on the desired level of privacy (make sure that you read each description provided before setting your preferences);
  • Click on the “OK” button;
  • You can also enable or disable cookies for specific websites by heading to “Sites” in the “Privacy Tab” and writing in the websites that you wish you either block or allow. Once you type in the website just choose “Allow” or “Block”;
  • Now click “Ok” and let’s enable Javascript on the Internet Explorer;
  • Select once again “Tools->Internet Options” and head to “Security”;
  • Here you will need to click on “Internet” and then “Custom Level”;
  • Look for “Scripting” and make sure it is “Enabled”;
  • Now you just need to click “Ok” and the Cookies and Javascript are enabled on your Internet Explorer.

How To Enable Cookies And Javascript On Mozilla Firefox

  • Open Firefox;
  • Select Tools->Options;
  • Choose “Privacy” and adjust the settings for blocking and allowing cookies and click “Ok”;
  • Now head to “Content” from the Firefox option box and select Advanced->Content;
  • Make sure that the “Enable Javascript” is checked and click “Ok”;
  • Restart the Firefox browser and you will notice that cookies and Javascript are enabled on your Firefox browser.

How To Enable Cookies and JavaScript On Google Chrome

  • Open the Google Chrome browser;
  • On the browser’s toolbar you will notice the “Customize and Control” icon;
  • Click on the icon and select “Settings”;
  • A new “web page” will then open with the Settings of your Google Chrome browser;
  • On the tab “Settings” you will need to select “Content Settings” from the Privacy section (in case you don’t see the Privacy section just click on “Show advanced settings” button that’s located on the bottom of the list);
  • In the “Cookies” section you will need to check if “Allow local data to be set” is set. In case you don’t want to accept third-party cookies, just select the box labeled “Block all third-party cookies without exception”;
  • If you want to add some exceptions, just click on “Manage Exceptions” and enter the websites which you want to create an exception and just adjust the menu settings to either allow or block cookies from the mentioned website. You need to repeat this step for each website for which you want to create an exception;
  • Restart your Google Chrome browser and you will see that Cookies and Javascript are enabled on it.
