Android Nougat 7.0 and 7.1 are Compatible with Xposed Framework

Android users with knowledge on how to root devices can now use the Xposed Framework. Xposed Framework allows Android users to change its apps and behavior. Usually, users have to wait for a long time before they can use the official framework for a new Android OS.

Rovo89 launched the Xposed version for Nougat 7.0 and 7.1

A year after Google launched Android 8.0 Oreo, Rovo89 released an official Xposed Framework version compatible with Android Nougat 7.0 and Nougat 7.1.

Xposed Framework is a Java software allowing users to change an app’s behavior on their smartphone working with an Android OS without changing the APK file. Xposed modules change the app’s interface at the runtime of the app.

The app is preferred by both users because they do not have to find other websites from where to download modded APK files and by developers because they maintain their modules easier. Also, the majority of the modules are open source which means that everyone can contribute and review the code and check it.

XDA Developers announced the launch for the latest version

With the release of the latest Xposed Framework for Android Nougat, Rovo89 clarified that the modules for Android 8.0 Oreo will come sooner because he will not start from scratch. The latest Android OS follows its predecessor’s line.

An unofficial port for Xposed has released months ago in the form of ART submodule for AOSP 7.1.2 and the device did not need to be rooted in order for it to work. The port was for custom ROMs because they had to add the submodule while making the OS>. After the release of the unofficial port, Rovo 89 released a statement warning that the ART submodule does not offer improvements and it was also buggy.
