According to the senior director of digital experience at the Warriors, Jeremy Thum, the Warriors want to be in touch with their fans as many of them come from the international fan base of the NBA. Furthermore, fans can access information anywhere anytime if they have a mobile device.

2019 is the second year of the partnership between Viber and the Warriors, but even from the beginning, the team could capitalize on Viber’s diverse user-base.

Thum said that Rakuten Viber messaging app has an existing user base in markets and the Warriors’ brand are attractive by this.
