With just a few weeks separating us from Apple’s release of the first beta of iOS 13 for developers, rumors about possible discontinuation of support for specific iPhones have to gain trust around the web. The report comes as a shock for many iPhone users.
Apple’s last year iOS 12 update did not have incorporated any significant improvements regarding its features or brand new changes, so there are a ton of expectations Apple users have regarding the new iOS 13.
Here are some of the features the iOS 13 will most likely come with.
Important iOS 13 Features
- Dark Mode
- New File System
- Updates to the innate mail app
- New Gestures
- Redesign of the Home Screen
These devices will no longer be supported
The rumored news apparently says that once Apple’s iOS 13 will be released, the update assistance for some of the top most favorite iPhones will be discontinued.
A few of the most recent reports claim that Apple iOS 13 will not be compatible with the popular iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, also the iPhone SE. This comes as a surprising disappointment since these devices were the most popular and loved Apple devices ever, also are still selling a lot, mainly in states such as India, etc. Therefore, discontinuing the update support for these iPhones is a huge letdown for lots of Apple users. In addition, the iPhone SE operates on the A9 chipset, also used in the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, a fact which implies that the upcoming iOS 13 update version might not be congenial with the aforementioned iPhones either.
Again, if the rumors will be clarified as true, this would imply that these devices will have to stuck with the iOS 12.
The update support will also be cut for the original iPad mini 2 and iPad Air. Even if these devices are beyond capable of processing the new update version, Apple seems to gradually see these devices out.
