0

You can update Google Chrome on your computer or mobile device manually or automatically by learning a few tricks that you can do on your own.

Update Via Desktop

  • Open Google Chrome Web browser by clicking the icon on your desktop.
  • You can update it manually by clicking the menu represented by an icon with three dots lined up at the top right corner of the window. Thus, a dropdown list would display several options.
  • Choose Help button near the bottom of the list. This will invoke a popup window.
  • You might also see the Update Google Chrome option close to the top of the menu, so click it.
  • Click About Google Chrome located at the top of the popup window.

This will trigger the update, so you just wait and see the outcome, which would take around a couple of minutes. Otherwise, if you see a message saying Google Chrome is up to date, then you don’t have to update yet. Restart the browser after updating it for the update to take effect.

Update Via Android

  • Open the Play Store from your homepage.
  • Tap the menu button found at the top leftmost spot of your screen.
  • Tap the button named My apps & games, which you can find on the left side of the screen.
  • In the Updates section, tap Chrome in order to begin the update. Otherwise, if you don’t see it in this section, then your version of Chrome is up-to-date.

Update Via iOS

  • Open the App Store from the homepage.
  • Tap the Updates button from the bottom-right corner of your screen.
  • You may notice the Update button next to Chrome if an update is available. Simply tap the button from the Pending Updates section.

If you can’t see it in that section, your version of Chrome is already updated. So, there’s no need for you to update Google Chrome manually at this point.
