SNES Classic Mini Edition Info: Release Date, List of Games, UI Changes and More

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic (known as SNES Classic) is similar to the NES Classic, giving a second chance to the finest retro games that you can find on the SNES library. The SNES Classic will be released on 29 September at a price of $80. It will come with a lot of games that you’ll definitely enjoy and don’t worry; it’s going to be produced in larger quantities than the NES Classic. You’ll be able to get it on Amazon, Target, GameStop, Walmart and Best Buy when it will hit the stores so watch these stores as they launch it.

Games that You Can Play on SNES Classic

You’ll be able to play a lot of classic games on your SNES Classic and other third party games. Here’s an alphabetically ordered list, with all the game titles included in SNES Classic:

Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III (Final Fantasy VI in Japan), F-Zero, Kirby’s Dream Course, Kirby Super Star, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Star Fox, Star Fox 2, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls’n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Yoshi’s Island.

New System, New Setups and User Interface

With the old NES Classic that was working on standard TVs, the SNES Classic has HDMI cables, a home menu that will allow you to see and access all of your games by jumping between games.

The console will allow players to save 4 different saves of each game and store it in its internal storage. The SNES Classic comes with longer cables (almost 5 feet) and with a richer UI that will let players tweak and customize different things such as borders for 4:3 games, CRT filters and the option to rewind some mistake you did in a game in order to try again.
