Samsung Galaxy S9 Concept Tops iPhone X

0

With the new Samsung Galaxy S8 already in stores, fans are already thinking about the future Galaxy S9, scheduled to be released next year. Samsung’s most notorious rival, Apple has also released the iPhone X with a bezel-less display. A concept designer imagines that Galaxy S9 will top even Apple’s newest top notch iPhone.

DBS Designing reveals the latest Samsung Galaxy S9 concept

The YouTube channel DBS Designing created a concept in which the S9 has an all-screen display with a virtual navigation button at the bottom. Other design features include a slim cutout for the frontal camera, ear speaker, an iris scanner and some other sensors.

Some believe that the design is inspired by iPhone X’s concept. Still, many agree that this S9 design looks better than iPhone X.

On the right side of the S9 there are the icons for WiFi, cellular strength and battery, while the ones for time and date are on the left side of the notch.

The concept S9 smartphone has loudspeaker, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The 3.5mm headphone jack is an interesting feature considering that Apple has eliminated it for iPhones.

Other features of the concept Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 concept phone has dual cameras both in front and the back. The material used for the body is glass and metal and the device is imagined as having an OLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

The fingerprint sensor will also be integrated into the display. This might be unlikely since Samsung is still experimenting with the fingerprint sensor.

The Android OS of choice for the concept phone is the Android 8.0 Oreo and the smartphone is to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The battery is a 3,600mAH and the processor of choice is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
