Nokia 9 PureView Details Leaked With New Features

0

Another year has passed but 2019 is already shaping up to be one of the most interesting years when it comes to technology.

One of the most anticipated devices is Nokia 9. At first it seemed that the device will make an appearance during the last three months of 2018 but nothing happened. Several sources claimed that the device will be delayed. Some even claimed that Nokia cancelled the development of the device altogether but it seems that the project is still going forward.

A leaked advertisement video has revealed the most important features of the new Nokia flagship. Called Nokia 9 PureView, the device will offer a penta-lens setup consisting of ZEISS optic sensors.

At 5.99-inch the display is quite generous, delivering stunning images at a resolution of 2K and boasts support for HDR apps and content. Users will be able to enjoy a Netflix binge on the go with a quality that is on par with most laptops.

Security remains important and the company opted to include an in-display fingerprint sensor that will keep the smartphone safe without sacrificing valuable space on the device.

The smartphone will arrive with Android One and will receive two years of update. Unlike the classic Android experience, Android One is designed to enhance core functionalities and it can be tailor-made for certain devices in order to output the best performance possible.

When it comes to general specs the device is well-equipped, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The major downside is the processor. While Nokia opted for the beefy Snapdragon 845, it is still a last-generation chip that will have to compete with new offerings from both Qualcomm and other manufacturers.

Those that love a wireless life will be happy to know that the device will support the Qi wireless standard.

A release date is not yet available but the device may be formally revealed during CES 2019.
