The Moto M model from Lenovo, which was released back in 2016 in India, is apparently receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update in India. For those of you who don’t know, the model was released running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it came in two versions in India: a 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB internal storage option that costs Rs. 15,990 and another one with 4 GB & 64 GB for the price of Rs. 17,999.

Details about the Update

The Nougat update for the Moto M, according to the reports of the users who have already received it, weighs in at 1.5 GB. Besides the new version of the operating system, the update includes the Duo app, which offers video calling options on your smartphone.

More Changes

Though you should also expect other changes that come together with the Nougat version, there’s nothing in the changelog about extra modifications, besides the one we already mentioned. FoneArena was the first one to report the Nougat update for the Moto M.

Specs

The phone uses a dual SIM system and it’s the first device from the Moto series that has an all-metal body. It features a 5.5-inches Full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, paired with 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The new smartphone runs on a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor made by MediaTek.

The back camera is a 16 MP one, paired with PDAF (Phase-Detection Autofocus). On the front you will have an 8 MP camera, which is decent. Users also have various connectivity options: Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Initially, the phone was sold only on Flipkart, but recently the company made it available for offline purchase as well, for the same price.
