Motorola has always been a major power player on the mobile phone market. Now that smartphones are all the rage, the company still manages to hold its own in the face of the likes of Apple or Samsung through its aggressively affordable devices that still enjoy a premium build. Today we’re taking a look at the Moto E4 and its fancier sibling, the Moto E4 Plus in order to settle once and for all the age-old debate of whether or not the Plus variant is also the better one. So which one is better, the Moto E4 or the Moto E4 Plus? Let’s find out.
Both phones come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and have similarly potent quad-core MediaTek chipsets. The Moto E4 has 2GB of RAM, while the Moto E4 Plus has 3GB in the same department, as well as more internal storage with its 32GB that are double the Moto E4’s 16GB. However, the extra gigabyte of RAM doesn’t add that much to the performance. It does make it smoother for sure, but not to such an extent that the Moto E4 Plus is a must-have and the Moto E4 is not.
According to Blorge.com, the Moto E4 is smaller and bulkier than its sleeker, bigger sibling the Moto E4 Plus. On top of that, the Moto E4 Plus sports a remarkably better rear cam of 13MP, while the Moto E4 can only offer 8MP of photo quality to its users. The Moto E4 Plus also has a bigger 5,000 mAh battery, which is almost double to the Moto E4’s 2,800 mAh.
All in all, it’s safe to say that yes, the Moto E4 Plus is the better phone when compared to its smaller sibling, the Moto E4. Bu at the end of the day you can choose whatever you like.
