Minecraft Better Together has a Bright Future

At the E3 this year we’ve heard from Microsoft and Mojang that one the most moved games in the world, Minecraft, will get an update that will allow users to play cross-platform.

The update called “Better Together” intends on bringing together players that have different devices. So, even though you have a PC version of Minecraft, you’ll be able to play this game with your friends that has it on his Xbox One or on his phone.

The update will also bring more content, such as custom characters and choice skins. This update will bring together all the most important and requested features to all platforms and will let players to connect to the game through Realms, cross-platform or massive multiplayer servers.

Other consoles, such as Nintendo Switch, will have this update available as soon as the development is finished.

Minecraft ‘Better Together’ is Promising, But Not For All, Apparently

Unfortunately, Sony doesn’t want this update on their PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, so players will have to be satisfied with the older version of Minecraft on those devices and no cross-platform play. And we’re not sure where Sony stands in this picture, as a lot of users will surely be mad at the idea of not having the latest update for their favorite game available.

At this time, Minecraft can be played on one console only, the Xbox One.

You can play Minecraft in different modes: local co-op or online. On platforms you can also get the split-screen option for co-op or a normal screen when you play online.

Until now Minecraft has been developed for a lot of devices: PC, Android, iPhone, Xbox 1, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows 10 and a there will be a future version on Nintendo Switch.
