Running Windows OS on an Android Phone seems to be quite a challenge for tech lovers today. We have tried various methods on our quest to achieve this goal, including various emulators, but nothing seems good enough to do the trick. However, after a compelling research, we managed to put together a step-by-step guide to help you out.

How to Run Windows OS on an Android Device

  1. Download Limbo from the Play Store. Once you’re finished downloading it, install it on the Android device you have.
  2. Download the image file of the Windows OS you want. Place it in a directory on your phone.
  3. Open the Limbo app, then choose the Load Machine option and click New.
  4. Enter any name to create a New Machine.
  5. Choose the following Settings: The architecture needs to be x86, the Machine Type PC, and the CPU Model set to Default. There should also be 1 Core, plus 512 MB RAM (or more if you want to run Windows 8 or newer versions).
  6. Choose the Storage option, tick the hard disk A, and then choose the path of the Windows image file you had previously downloaded.
  7. In the Limbo app, go to the User Interface settings and choose the Interface as SDL.
  8. Next, choose the Landscape Orientation and run the program by clicking the play button. Pay attention, and now you will need to wait for 10-15 minutes until the Windows OS loads completely! Now you’re done, and you can enjoy your Windows OS on your Android phone.

Make sure that your Android device runs at least Android v4.4 and that you have minimum a 2 GB of RAM and an octa-core processor. Install the Limbo PC emulator and emulate the ISO/IMG file of Windows.
