Galaxy A42 could be the most accessible 5G phone in Samsung offering

Samsung is preparing to diversify the offer of 5G phones to the lower mid-range segment, Galaxy A42 will be one of the most affordable 5G phones so far.

The bad news is that preparations are not evolving as fast as we think, the Galaxy A42 will be announced along with other models available only early next year.

Identified with the model name SM-A426B, the new smartphone seems to be the direct successor to the SM-A415F (Galaxy A41), already launched in a rather mediocre configuration, based on the Mediatek Helio P65 (4G) chipset.

What the Galaxy A42 offers

Even if the chipset used is not known, Galaxy A42 is expected to double to 128GB the internal storage capacity of the previous model. Probably appearing as an evolution of the current housing design, the A42 will be offered in gray, white and black versions.

Even if there is no information on the development of a 4G LTE version of the Galaxy A42 model, it will probably appear at a slightly lower price in emerging markets without a well-developed 5G communications infrastructure, such as India.

Meanwhile, Samsung is likely to try to increase its presence in major Western markets by launching several 5G models from the Galaxy A series, this being traditionally the best-selling range of phones. In fact, it is no coincidence that the Galaxy A51 was named the best-selling phone in the world, according to official statistics.

An indication for the preparation of a new generation of Galaxy A phones are also the rumors about taking over the wireless charging technology, adapted to a less expensive form, suitable for the mid-range phone range.

Samsung sales, supported by resentment against China?

The boycott imposed on Chinese products in several very important markets, such as India, also has a not insignificant contribution to the recent performances obtained by Samsung.
