Free Space on your iPhone by Removing Unnecessary Document and Data files

0

The iPhone is one of the most iconic devices in the world but even the best have some flaws. Many users fill their devices with a variety of files and run out storage space before they even know it. Those that wish to free some of that space will be puzzled by a section called Documents and Data.

Depending on how you use your device this section can reach several GB in size. Read below to learn more about it how to clean unnecessary files.

Documents and Data group several types of files. Among them we can count the browser history, saved cookies and data& cache files saved by applications like Snapchat.

In some cases the space occupied by data and cache files can become bigger than the space occupied by the app itself. This data is saved in order to make the app work better. If the apps are no longer used, these files will become dead weights that fill your device without doing anything useful.

How to delete unnecessary files?

This can be done easily if your device is running iOS 11 or better. Follow the steps below:

  2. Tap on iPhone storage
  3. Track down the apps that occupy a lot of space
  4. Tap on them and tap on the Offload app option
