Fix the Wi-Fi issue on Windows 10-powered HP 10 Notebook PCs

0

A user reported a Wi-Fi issue on a PC running Windows 10 the 64-bit version. Here is what you need to know about it.

Microsoft’s “Critical Update” brings a Wi-Fi issue on Windows 10

The user described the problem on HP’s official forum. It looks like the Internet keeps shutting down without asking for permission. The user checked to see in the system was hacked, but it turned out that it wasn’t. On the other hand, when the user looked at the drivers and Windows processes, there was a driver “RTL8723BE/RTL8188Ee 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN” with an exclamation mark. It also had Error 10 Device can not start.

The user’s machine was an HP 10 Notebook PC running Windows 10.

After three days, the Internet worked well again, but two days later, it dropped dead. The user disabled that particular driver, restarted the computer, enabled the driver again and the Internet started working fine once more.

Unfortunately, the issue kept popping every other day, so the user restored the system before Microsoft’s “Critical Update, ” and it worked fine. But the computer got the update again, and the Internet driver became flawed once more.

Such issues cause frustration and disbelief among users because it looks like Microsoft’s mandatory update is killing systems.

The user also said that he deleted the restore points before the update, so he wasn’t able to restore anymore, and the driver disappeared. After using Easy Driver to reinstall it, it worked for 3 seconds and then it deleted itself.

No solution for the Wi-Fi issue

The user was advised to check for updates in MS and HP, but that didn’t work either. The Internet drives kept being deleted. The computer simply removed the driver every time it got installed.

It seems that the problem remained without a fix, for now, and who knows how long it will be until a workaround comes along.
