Snapchat is one of the most popular social networks of our age, and this huge success is due to its individuality. Although many other high profile social media apps have tried to copy Snapchat’s functionality, Snapchat is the first and the best in its field. And while the app runs smoothly most of the time, it does have its small flaws too. One major error that Snapchat has been faced with lately is the ‘could not connect’ error message that appears on many jailbroken iOS devices.

But this is not necessarily Snapchat’s fault, but rather has more to do with the concept of jailbreaking instead. When trying to log into Snapchat from a jailbroken device, there is a discrepancy that might affect the process. Thus, this error message is displayed. There is an easy way to get rid of it, so if you own a jailbroken iOS device and wish to fix this uncomfortable Snapchat error, keep reading.

Solution

The first thing you need to do in order to fix this Snapchat error is get Cydia if you don’t have it. Next, open Cydia and check if xCon is installed on your iOS device. If it is, you need to uninstall it now from your device. Then, go to the Search tab in Cydia and type in NoSub. Download and install NoSub, then wait for your phone to reboot itself automatically after the installation is complete. If your device does not reboot automatically, reboot it manually.

After your device turns back on and all is well, try to log in to Snapchat again. The ‘could not connect’ error message should not reappear as you should be able to connect to Snapchat without any issues. Let us know if it worked in the comments below.
