Final Fantasy IX Available to Play on PlayStation 4

This week, Square Enix has announced, while they had a press conference at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show, that they have finally released the digital version of Final Fantasy IX for PlayStation 4.

Final Fantasy, the science fiction and fantasy franchise was created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and developed by Square Enix. The franchise contains RPGs, but also anime, CGI movies, manga and novels.

What we’re interested in is Final Fantasy IX that was released in 2000 for the first PlayStation console. Since it achieved so much success and a huge score from the critics (92% on GameRankings, 94/100 on Metacritic, 8.5/10 on GameSpot, 9.2/10 on IGN and so on), it was later ported for iOS and Android last year in February and for PC last year in April.

Final Fantasy IX Will Have All Other Features that Exist on Mobile and PC Versions

Fans all over the world played Final Fantasy IX and enjoyed every second of it, finding an impressive story completed by great music and memorable characters.

After Final Fantasy IX sold over 5 million copies in 2000, it’s time players rejoice and play it again or for the first time on the latest PlayStation console. They will relive the old story and also enjoy HD enhanced characters and cut-scenes that were featured on the PC and mobile versions from 2016. Other features such as Trophies, Capture support, and Remote Play will be supported on PlayStation 4.
